TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks The ideal candidate will have extensive experience maintaining airfield systems including: AN/GPN-30 Digital Airport Surveillance Radar; AN-FSQ-204 Standard Terminal Automation System; WSD-88D Next Generation Radar System; Mono-pulse Secondary Surveillance Radar; AN/FMQ-19 Weather System; CM300, CM350, GRT, and URC-200 Radios; FCS-127 Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch; GSH-74 Digital Analog Legal Recorder, Instrument Landing System (ILS) and Tactical Air Navigation Systems. The candidate will have a proven record of resolving difficult equipment problems and will be able understand complex technical data. Skill in the interpretation of technical data such as drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications of complete electronic systems; in analyzing problems in integrated/interfacing systems involving numerous complex circuits; and in using complex electronic and electromechanical test and measuring equipment using integrated test functions for different purposes. Ability to modify standard procedures, adapt equipment or techniques, and make departures from previous approaches to solve technical problems or improve system performance for highly complex electronic systems; to trace electronics logic from one system to another; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships to Ability to use computer terminals to enter and extract data to maintain records and document actions.
