Duration: 12 months

As a Electrophysics Engr/Scien 5, you will be:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tCoordinate, test, and verify TEMPEST requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the development and sustainment of various systems\r\n\tDevelop and mentor teammates through the development of TEMPEST Control Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports\r\n\tLead TEMPEST analyses and implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and TEMPEST security of all physical, functional, and system interfaces\r\n\tLead the evaluation of design drawings to verify and correct system design to TEMPEST standards\r\n\tLead TEMPEST testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to TEMPEST standards\r\n\tSupport project management by tracking and reporting project status, by generating bids and requirements, and by providing work statement, budget, and schedule\r\n\tThis position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Oklahoma City, OK.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Other job responsibilities may include:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tReview supplier and partner qualification data for Electromagnetic Compatibility\r\n\tDevelop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical\\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures\r\n\tPerform EMI/EMC, Nuclear Hardening, HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, and Antenna Coupling analyses and test\r\n\tDevelop and implement Test Automation for aircraft modifications\r\n\tApply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problems\r\n\tPerform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analyses to predict component, interconnects, and system performance and to optimize design\r\n\tApply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/EMC analyses and test\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMust possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics or physics.\r\n\tPrevious experience in the defense or aerospace industry\r\n\tPrevious experience of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC experience\r\n\tFamiliar with the Electromagnetic concepts (such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering)\r\n\tCurrent Certified TEMPEST Professional – Level I or Level II certification\r\n\tCTP-II certification must have been valid within 2 years prior to the date of application for this position\r\n\tMinimum of 4 years of TEMPEST experience after receiving CTP certification\r\n\tHave been active in TEMPEST testing in the last 3 years and submitted TEMPEST reports for approval\r\n\tFamiliarity with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 specifications\r\n\tExperience using RF test and measurement instrumentation (such as receivers, antennas, analyzers, and oscilloscopes)\r\n\tFamiliar with the Electromagnetic concepts (such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering)\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

\r\n\r\n\r\n\t7 or more years’ related work experience (Expert Level)\r\n\t13 or more years’ related work experience (Consultant Level)\r\n\t18 or more years’ related work experience (Senior Consultant Level)\r\n\tAn ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering is preferred\r\n\tInternational Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer Certification\r\n\tKnowledge of digital signal processing\r\n\tKnowledge of RF grounding and shielding principles\r\n\tHands-on experience with MatLab\r\n\tFamiliarity with Software tools: LTSpice, System Vision, PSPICE, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Mentor DX Designer and Expedition\r\n\tExperience with MS Office tool suite\r\n\tExperience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders\r\n\tPrevious experience in the defense or aerospace industry\r\n\tPrevious experience in Electromagnetic Effects\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Consultant (Level 5):

\r\n\r\n

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics or physics. (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay Rate: $120-$125 per hour.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
