Position Overview:

We have a full-time School Social Worker opening in a growing and highly supportive school in Plainfield! At this school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success. In this position, the Social Worker will focus on supporting Elementary students, grades 3-5. The Social Worker will be responsible for managing a caseload of 13 students, across two classrooms.

Job Responsibilities:

Work full time, Monday-Friday from 8:55 AM-3:30 PM.Support Elementary students, grades 3-5.Manage a caseload of 13 students.Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students.Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students.  Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan.Collaborate with staff, families, and community resources.Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success.Support student goals as described by their IEP or 504.

Qualifications:

Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral Degree in Social WorkLMSW license eligible in the State of IllinoisEligible Professional Educators License (PEL)Preferred experience with Elementary students is preferred
