Major Duties & Responsibilities: Assess pupil needs and provide instruction, guidance, motivation and appropriate learning activities to develop concepts in all subject areas listed in the Course of Study adopted by the South Buffalo Charter School's Board of Trustees. Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth and keep records. Prepare evaluations and communicate with parents on individual pupil progress ansd needs. Provide parents with information on educational programs within the school. Cooperate with other professional staff in formulating school rules and policies and in developing curriculum and evaluation procedures. Assist in selecting and requisitioning books, instructional aides and supplies. Perform basic attendance and classroom accounting. Establish and maintain, in cooperation with the school principal, a safe and functional learning environment. Participate in school-wide curriculum development. Participate in school-wide professional development. Maintain competence through self-selected professional growth activities.
