Elevator Manager

Job Summary

IFF has an exciting opportunity to join our Gibson City, IL team as the Elevator Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for directing the activities of the Elevator Department, including direct supervision of the department employees, so that the department meets expectations regarding safety, production, cost, quality, and sanitation.

Roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Oversees production operators, with overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding the operating budgets and production outputs for the department

Oversee and maintain the training program to provide consistency across the departments regarding onboarding, training and refresher training of production operators

Ensures departments adherence to established operations and safety policies and procedures

Work with production operators to maintain departments standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, and production

Responsible for communications up and down the line and for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and complete. 

Responsible for responding to personnel and operational safety and environmental incidents

Ensure production operators are completing production in accordance with production schedules and assist with implementing proper procedures

Work with maintenance team to plan and/or schedule maintenance work (mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation) based on production area needs and concerns

Assist management staff with implementing site policies and standards, along with company initiatives

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (in Engineering) preferred or 5 years relevant work experience.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and has demonstrated performance as a member of successful teams.

Previous responsibility in managing budgets and understanding fixed/variable cost.

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, etc.) and/or be able to learn other computer systems/databases.

Salary Ranges:

$81,000.00 - $121,600.00
