As a leading provider of marketing technology, Moz empowers individuals and businesses to increase their presence online and grow revenue by harnessing the power of web search. We are currently looking for an Email Marketing Manager, responsible for setting the strategy and delivering the execution for all of our customers (product, content and in-app communications) as well as our prospect (database growth, lead capture, and campaigns) email programs. This individual contributor role requires someone who is a domain expert in email marketing but can also collaborate and bring ideas to various areas of the marketing team. You would be a key part of the marketing function with an ownership of over 1M+ database for Moz.com! We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and able to take ideas and run with them by working with various team members and ultimately executing on email programs across our entire business. We need someone who is close to customer usage and behavioral data and can work closely with in-app channel owners to make sure messaging is complementary. The ideal candidate would have a growth mindset and be able to tap into our customer needs by crafting compelling messaging around our various product offerings. We are looking for someone to take our email program to the next level of innovation and can stay ahead of trends, test new ideas / tools, and ultimately drive more revenue through the email channel. Requirements:5+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing.Previous experience with Hubspot is a plus but not required.Basic HTML and CSS skills for email formatting and troubleshooting.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.Strong written copywriting skills, with experience collaborating cross-functionally.Responsibilities:Ownership of Hubspot and our entire email database of 1M+ including data cleansing and compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL and all other international email regulations.The strategy, execution, delivery, and analysis of all email marketing programs across MozWriting email copy and strategizing complex email campaigns / programs / automations across various products within Moz.Managing our email capture areas on Moz.com to enable database growth.Reporting and analytics of the email programs in weekly / monthly / yearly and adhoc reports.Refine audience segmentation strategies to ensure relevant and targeted communications.Creating and maintaining email workflows and complex automations.Collaboration with Product and Content Marketing to deliver on various campaign and project requests.Maintain and update documentation for email marketing processes. Must Haves:A clear understanding and strategic vision of how email marketing fits into the broader business objectives and our customer journeys.Experience working with various automation tools and understand how to build flows from customer journeys in-app.Proficient in email marketing platforms (we use HubSpot) and understand how to leverage automation, list segmentation, and copywriting / content to maximize efficiency and personalization.Creative excellence when it comes to copywriting. A strong sense of creativity, crafting compelling subject lines, engaging content, and eye-catching designs (working with our design team!).A focus on compliance with privacy regulations, maintaining the integrity of the email database. Ensure emails resonate with customers and prospects while adhering to best practices for deliverability and readability.Highly data driven in your approach to email marketing.
