Email Marketing Manager

Job Summary** This role will oversee the strategic email marketing roadmap across all lines of business. This includes hands-on development and execution of campaigns as well as managing an external agency. + Drive business growth through scalable email marketing programs that target the right audiences with the right message. + Partner with stakeholder teams to identify email marketing opportunities that are aligned with company objectives. + Own end-to-end delivery of email campaigns and journeys. + Deliver best in class analytics that track performance and identify optimization opportunities. + Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate. + Responsible for planning and implementing email campaigns, managing subscriber databases, creating engaging newsletters, and analyzing campaign performance. **II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. + Manage email marketing requests that are submitted by stakeholder teams. + Create and prioritize email campaign backlog. + Develop master email marketing calendar and work to ensure timely delivery of all campaigns. + Manage external agency workload and provide direction to ensure successful campaign deployment. + Manage and build various email lists and campaigns, including design templates, calls-to-action, and content. + Continuously measure, manage and appropriately adjust campaign effectiveness, including lead generation performance, lead conversion ratios, sales cycle conversions. + Build and constantly improve email marketing strategy, test plans and overall program development. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and solutions to support digital marketing activities. + Provides channel recommendations to stakeholder teams based on their goals. + Create and manage reporting to demonstrate ROI on email marketing campaigns + Serve as the expert on customer behavior for online and offline channels and target specific segments and areas to meet business objectives. + Interact with key marketing automation system stakeholders to ensure system and processes meet stakeholder needs and email channel, lead generation, and multi-channel nurturing best practices. + Design and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize email content and subject lines. + Ensure email campaigns comply with relevant privacy laws and regulations, such as CAN-SPAM. **III. Supervisory Responsibilities** None **IV. Qualifications** The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience + **Required** : + Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field. + Minimum 5+ years of recent experience in a lead generation or email automation role **.** + **Preferred** : + Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification is strongly preferred. + Experience executing digital marketing campaigns and email marketing strategy through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Automation tools. + Experience using Jira and Confluence for documentation, requirements gathering and deployment management. + Proven track record of successful B2B email campaigns. + Experience and working proficiency of web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics and ability to generate reporting/insights and optimize campaigns. + Solid experience with tagging platforms (Adobe Suite, Google Tag Management, Tealium, etc.). + Proficiency with Photoshop is a plus. + Strong writing and communication skills, including copywriting skills. + Experience in market and customer insights, product commercialization and branding. + Excellent HTML, CSS and AMPscript development skills (for responsive design email and landing pages). Solid financial acumen, including understanding of key financial statements and concepts such as P&L and ROI + **Impact-orientation:** Strong focus on thoughtful maximization of value creation and capture, with a nose of “following the money” but recognizing that to capture value we must deliver value to our customers. Successful candidate will have a track record of meaningful and measurable customer and financial success + **Collaboration** : Ability to partner with stakeholders in general management, CE, Sales, Pricing, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, HR and other functions for the success of the Company, focusing on the greater good of the Company, its employees and customers + **Communication:** Strong oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to synthesize and tailor complex material into simple and easily digestible content by experts and non-experts alike, including Corporate and Area stakeholders, and potentially the WM Board of Directors and WM investors.The successful candidate will have a track record of proactively speaking up and constructive dissent, where a contrarian opinion is held + **Influencing** : Ability to build rapport, authentic and meaningful relationships, and comfortably influencing all levels of the organization + **Dispute resolution:** Ability to combine all qualities above to resolve most day-to-day disputes independently and without more senior executive support + **Fact and data-driven approach:** Track record of relying on facts and data to drive action, as opposed to over-relying on instinct, gut feel, experience or opinion.
