Position Overview:

The Email Marketing Specialist role supports targeted marketing efforts through the email channel. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong background in Email Marketing – with exceptional attention to detail, knowledgeable, who thrives and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment. The role is responsible for taking the strategic roadmap of e-campaigns, and is accountable for the successful execution, QC, and any required data scripting in fulfilling the roadmap.

The execution work for email campaigns entails working with the marketing and data teams to adjust and amend HTML so that it satisfies personalization and dynamic content as well as additional technical and creative requirements. The complexity varies for every campaign, and the proper segment scripting and QC ensures a successful delivery to the customer's inbox. The role is accountable and responsible for the successful management and timely delivery of properly built email campaigns. The candidate will be able to speak to email execution, data as well as HTML requirements.

Responsibilities

Oversee the build, testing and successful deployment of email campaigns.Troubleshoot, resolve issues and liaise with suppliers where necessarySupport creative design and marketing teams with best practices and technical expertiseScripting dynamic elements and personalized HTML contentParticipate in the creation and maintenance of reusable email assets and templates for future useReview campaign submissions and ensure adherence to agreed-upon work back schedulesEnsure that best practices are followed and that Email Campaigns are built in an efficient mannerWork on major initiatives that support key business objectivesParticipate in email campaign briefing meetings and present additional expertise on e-campaigns based on previous issues, resolutions, emerging concepts, industry trends and best practices

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience in e-mail marketing, analytics, or web development.Knowledgeable in HTML/CSS as it relates to email developmentExperience in executing and managing email campaigns with demonstrated expertise in CASL compliance.Knowledge of accessibility and email testing tools is an assetStrong working knowledge of best practices for email marketing, email trends, industry standards, responsive codingProven experience in data-driven campaigns and creative thinking along with strong organizational and analytical skillsPrior experience validating the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing deadlines and multiple priorities along with a positive, self-motivated attitude is essential.Additional experience working with creative development platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud (specifically, Adobe Experience Manager) and business platforms like Microsoft OfficeWorking experience with e-mail service providers (such as Adobe Campaign, SalesForce, etc.) is beneficial.

Salary:

$44,500.00 - $82,500.00

The above represents AIR MILES’ pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents AIR MILES’ expected target for the first year in this position.

AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
