Job description: Global Cloud/Email Architecture and Engineering is looking for an Email Security Engineer to join our Cloud and Email Security team. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with experience in designing, engineering, testing, and implementing Email Security platform solutions. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. The position requires strong technical and customer communication skills. Candidates should be able to directly engage with all stakeholders - security, compliance, data, user experience, business, engineering, procurement, and governance. Job Responsibilities: + Executes processes in support of the IT infrastructure and resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support IT services and products to meet the needs of a business within required SLAs. + Designs, installs, manages, and troubleshoots platforms within the email infrastructure + Assists engineering team members with tasks as directed + Focus on process improvements contributing towards increasing operational excellence + Facilitates the resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification, prioritization, and initiation of action + Generation of project artifacts + Collaborates effectively with their Architecture/Engineering peers and management for new initiative solution planning, testing/validation, complex troubleshooting, and problem resolution + Ability to learn new technology as required Required Skills: + College degree in or equivalent hands-on experience + 5+ years’ experience of working with enterprise class collaboration platforms + 5+ years OS background with Linux and Windows systems + Experience with email security vendors and such as FireEye and Proofpoint + Knowledge of email authentication concepts and solutions including SPF, DKIM, DMARC + Experience with SMTP email relays and routing + Knowledge of email focused DLP polices and enterprise systems + Experience with Email Hygiene systems, including Anti-spam, Antivirus, Malware Prevention, and Data Loss Prevention + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to shift and pivot with changing responsibilities + Working networking knowledge including DHCP, TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls + Ability to create engineering documents including detailed designs and test plans + Self-starter, critical thinker with proven ability to deal with granular requirements yet see things holistically and strategically + Effective at time management skills + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills + Ability to shift and pivot with changing responsibilities + Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication + Comfortable sharing ideas and concepts in a highly collaborative team + Have experience with ITIL foundational and Agile process methodologies + English Speaking/Writing + Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail + Possess a personal sense of urgency and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment + Ability to work with business and technical teams to build requirements and technical artifacts Technologies: + M365 + Linux + Proofpoint encryption/on demand + FireEye – 0 day malware + Symantec Broadcom - DLP Desired Skills: + Knowledge of M365 and Azure design and security controls + Perl, Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell and C++ + Experience with log analysis and reporting in Splunk + Experience with enterprise security including TLS including SMTP over TLS, certificates, HSM + Authentication mechanisms including domain authentication, OAuth/Modern Authentication, Kerberos + Experience with network security components including load balancers and firewalls + Understanding of Financial Regulatory, Legal and Compliance requirements + Understanding of REST APIs + SIEM Integration Additional Skills & Qualifications Nice to have: Symantec DLP and Splunk Niche but nice to have: Oracle Messaging Server Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
