Position: Embedded Software Engineer

Location: London, ON (Hybrid Schedule: 2 days onsite at client)

Scope of Work:

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge embedded systems. Your responsibilities will include:

Code Development:Adhering to established coding guidelines to ensure high-quality software.Utilizing Gitflow for efficient source code management.Conducting thorough unit testing to validate code functionality.Testing:Employing TCM tools to meticulously track and manage tests, ensuring robust software performance.Documentation:Creating comprehensive documentation to support code and testing processes, facilitating seamless knowledge transfer and maintenance.

Skillset Needed:

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the following skills:

Proficient in C Language Coding: Demonstrated ability to write efficient and reliable code.Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving code issues.Knowledge of Modbus: Familiarity with Modbus protocol is a plus.Atlassian Tools: Experience with Atlassian suite for project management and collaboration.Git SCM: Proficient in using Git for source code management.Test Case Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like Zephyr for managing test cases.

Prior Experience:

Ideal candidates will have:

Intermediate Embedded Software Development Experience: Proven track record in developing embedded systems.Strong Familiarity with IDEs and Debugging Tools: Expertise in using integrated development environments and debugging tools.Experience with Freescale/NXP MCUs: Knowledge of Freescale/NXP microcontrollers and related tools is a plus.
