Summary

 

As an Embedded Eng Manager with IA-HPS-PAS here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers while providing mentorship and guidance. You will manage the entire development lifecycle process for few systems in the Experion portfolio from conception to delivery. You will be responsible for overseeing resource planning and allocation for the engineering team. In this role, you will impact the successful development and delivery of high-quality Experion solutions that align with Honeywell's strategic objectives. Qualification

 

·       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

MBA or any other Management Diploma/Certificate/Degree would be an added advantage

·       PMP certification will be an added advantage.

 

 

Experience

 

16+ years of experience in the design and development of Hardware and Software centric programs. At least 5 years of project/program management-related experience with multidisciplinary programs and experience in leading globally distributed cross-discipline teams

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·       Lead a team of Software engineers in the development of high-quality solutions for Experion programs.

Leads multi-disciplinary Technology team to successfully achieve the program & business goals.

·       Help build, expand and maintain BESS prototype labs

·       Manage the entire development lifecycle process, from conception to delivery.

·       Oversee resource planning and allocation for the engineering team.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

·       Drive advancements in technology and ensure that Experion projects align with business objectives.

·       Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior management.

Uses the NPI process to achieve customer deliverables, schedule, cost and related program milestones/ objectives.  Build program team and integrate into a collaborative, cohesive group with a common vision, mission, and Management Operating System. Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; settle differences with minimum noise; win concessions without damaging relationships; be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties to the negotiations; has a good sense of timing. Deals effectively with various domestic and foreign third-parties (i.e., customers, vendors, and partners) for the benefit of all programs

 

Skill Requirement

 

Experience in managing multi-disciplinary technical teams. Experience managing team of 10 plus members and taking care of their professional growth and development, handling team dynamics. Experience working with global stakeholders and vendors required for NPIs. In depth knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle. Have a good appreciation to industrial control systems. Expert in usage of Microsoft project as scheduling and tracking tool Ability to set judicious expectations and manage them with key stakeholders Excellent problem solving, Influencing, Negotiate skills and good interpersonal relationship skills Ability to forecast issues and have the courage to escalate to the appropriate level till an adequate resolution is achieved Exercise clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in different operating environments Ability to exercise balance between assertive, aggressive, supportive and coercive styles of leadership to achieve program results Fast learning curve to absorb the domain knowledge
