**Job Location: Santa Clara, CA** **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled Embedded Network Engineer with experience in system programming and a strong understanding of networking protocols to design and develop code for multitasking, multi-threaded systems, and embedded environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Linux kernel, security systems, and various networking technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design and develop embedded systems code that requires multitasking and multi-threading using Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms. + Work with Linux kernel and various networking protocols, including NetFilters, IPSet, and Network security protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, IPV4, IPV6, MAP-T, and DS-LITE. + Manage and troubleshoot device management protocols such as TR-181, WEBPA, SNMP, and TR369. + Implement and maintain multicast protocols (e.g., UPnP, smcroute, RIP, IGMP). + Develop and optimize solutions using C/C /Shell scripting for embedded systems. + Work on firewall and security features, including IPTables, DSCP, IPSEC/MACSec, DOS/DDOS mitigation, and DHCP starvation prevention. + Utilize knowledge of WiFi technologies, specifically VAP, Radio Technology, and the 802.11 protocol. + Manage gateway connectivity solutions, including Docsis, MTA, EPON, GPON, and DSL WAN interfaces. **Must haves:** + 8 years of experience in C/C and Shell scripting. + Extensive experience with Linux kernel and networking protocols. + Expertise in firewall and security technologies, including IPTables, IPSEC/MACSec, and related security mechanisms. + Solid understanding of WiFi technologies (802.11) and gateway connectivity (Docsis, EPON, GPON, DSL). + Embedded Systems and programming + Linux kernel and networking protocols + C/C /Shell scripting + Firewall and security systems + WiFi (802.11) technology + Gateway connectivity (Docsis, MTA, EPON, GPON, DSL) **Nice to haves:** + Experience with build tools such as Yocto and Makefile. + Proficient in using Splunk for dashboard creation, metrics, and ad-hoc queries. + Familiar with JIRA for user story and bug tracking. + Expertise in version control systems like Git/Gerrit (code check-ins, reviews). + Experience with test tools such as cunit, cmocka, and gtest/gmock. **Life at Capgemini** Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
