In this role, you will be part of a global team responsible for developing components such as sensors, joysticks and smart devices for off-highway mobile machinery. You will contribute to all phases of development including requirement capturing, specification development, design, software development and validation/verification. Responsibilities will likely also include development and integrating Danfoss’ hydraulic and electronic components into complete control systems.

Background & Skills
We are looking for candidates who are either recent graduates or have a few years of experience in software development, preferably within embedded systems.
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as software engineering, computer science, electronics, or mechatronics.
Additionally, you should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
Embedded software development, with proficiency in C (knowledge of C++ is a plus). Cortex-M3/M4/M7 processors, with prior experience in ST processors being an advantage Development and testing of mechatronic products, including hands-on laboratory work. In-depth understanding of HW/SW integration and development (e.g., MCU peripherals). Familiarity with communication protocols like RS485, TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet, BLE, etc. Platform development that supports multiple products. Full SDLC processes, including agile methodologies like Scrum and DevOps practices. Expertise in static code analysis and unit testing. Be proficient in English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate in our global team spread across Bulgaria, Slovenia and Denmark.

As an Embedded Software Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop embedded software solutions for valves and electronic controllers used in district energy applications. Your contributions will power various industrial applications from conceptualization to final product release.
Specifically, your tasks will include:
Participating in the conceptual design and architecture of the embedded software platform in collaboration with the team lead. Ensuring seamless communication and coordination between the software (SW) and hardware (HW) workstreams. Designing and developing embedded software systems for electronic controllers and energy meters Taking ownership of all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
