As a skilled Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be the tech lead in the team, and advisor to your manager and senior management. Your work will be both tactical and strategic, participating in both goals execution and in our yearly and multi-year planning exercises. You will impact software architecture, dependencies, performance, and business value. You will solve complex software problems, and your solutions will be extensible and scalable. You may also drive strategic work on new sensors and algorithms evaluation and specific tools development as needed. You are passionate about IoT, responsive and flexible. The successful candidate will investigate, prototype, and deliver high-quality software, working in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment. Basic Qualifications - Experience (non-internship) in professional software development - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
