The Role

The Embedded Software Engineer will specify, architect, test, and support software for a range of projects and system components including control algorithms for smart glass products, user-interface tools, sensors, and building automation networks. While the position is focused on embedded software, this engineer will also contribute to other types of software development as needs arise. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of 40% on-site.

Design, develop and support embedded software for a range of products including window controllers, sensors, and user interfaces, using both wired and wireless communication technologies. Manage projects, comprising one’s own work or small teams, including detailed project planning, organization of work, and reporting to stakeholders including senior management. Collaborate with SageGlass customer support personnel to assist in resolving customer issues by interacting with customers as needed to fully diagnose and troubleshoot issues and implement robustly tested solutions. Work with other engineers to develop system architecture, requirements, and test cases from product-level requirements.
