Embedded Software Engineer
As an Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will plan, design, develop and test software for embedded systems, including feature enhancements and new products. You will perform as a technical expert in the design development, coding, testing, and debugging of embedded software. Duties: • Design, develop, code, test, and debug new software or complex enhancements to existing embedded Linux products running on PowerPC and/or ARM architectures. • Work directly with hardware development teams to bring up new processor boards. • Work with both hardware and software technical staff to understand and develop resolution of software and/or hardware problems. • Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Qualifications: • BS Degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering • Fluency in embedded programming with C/C++. • Experience with Linux driver and/or application development. • Familiarity with BSP development and custom FPGA based products. • Strong experience with embedded Linux for PowerPC and/or ARM architectures. • Cross-compiler experience for embedded devices. • Experience with networking protocols. • Familiarity with XML, XSLT, HTML, HTTP technologies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
