Embedded Software Engineer

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

Summary:

Our embedded engineers design, develop, and validate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and Compute and Security and User Experience products, following Automotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination) compliant processes, to enhance vehicle safety and user experience  In this role, you will design, develop, and validate base software modules for automotive applications.

Responsibilities:

Develop software for active safety or body control production projectsDesign, code, and test real-time embedded systems with first time qualityPlan and coordinate software development activities with other global sitesInternal and customer diagnostics SW design, power moding, HWIO, Autosar stack configuration using tools like Vector DaVinci and implementation and triagingResponsible for static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing of the software on a hardware platformCoordinating with cross regional teams as needed to achieve project objectivesAutomotive SPICE (Software Performance Improvement and Capability dEtermination) and Functional Safety process compliance

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)+ 2 years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive IndustryBilingual – proficient in English speaking/reading/writingInterpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challengeCross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguityAbility to effectively manage several projects at onceStrong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profileSound understanding of Embedded C on microcontroller architectures

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, or related field of study)Experience in realizing ISO26262 Technical Safety Concepts - RAM test, ROM test, Lock step, CPU test, MPU, OS configurations for multicore architectures would be big plusExperience in RTE generation, make environments, multi-party software integrationExperience in Low power mode implementation, factory-test softwareKnowledge of  Agile methodology and Automotive SPICE
