Department OverviewMotorola Solutions is the market leader in delivering large scale communications systems for the federal and public safety markets. These systems support the mission critical communications needs of organizations such as Police, Fire, EMS, DEA, Customs and Border Patrol, as well as many others. Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer

Basic Requirements

Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer to develop innovative, mission-critical device-based solutions for our Android-enabled two-way radios. This role focuses on Embedded Linux development while offering the opportunity to enhance your skills in a technology-driven and collaborative environment. Existing knowledge of the Android platform is a plus.

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience at least 2 years

Knowledge of C/C++ programming.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science.

Solid understanding of software engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Understanding of Linux kernel concepts, including memory management, interrupt and event handling, synchronization mechanisms, subsystem infrastructure, CPU resource management, and file system operations within the Linux kernel environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
