Actalent is hiring a Software Engineer for an Aerospace/DoD company located around the Camden, New Jersey area. This role is accompanied by full time benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays, OT pay, and flexibility with work scheduling.

Description

In this role, the Software Engineer will produce high quality real-time software applications with the ability to understand requirements, establish a modular architecture/design, and implement sound solutions which leverage existing software. The role involves working in a classified DoD environment and includes responsibilities such as designing, testing, debugging, and integrating software and low-level drivers for both communications and cyber security applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent engineering/technical degree7+ years of professional experience with embedded software programming for real-time embedded systemsExperience working in a Linux/Unix environmentAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance, or holding an Active Secret Clearance

Desired Skills

Strong OOP C++ development experienceExperience with VxWorks RTOS, or similar real-time operating system development highly preferredExperience with driver-level development highly preferredExperience with Python for automation testingExperience with code optimization for real time systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
