**Required Skills:**
Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Plan, analyze, design, develop, and debug embedded SW/firmware (HLOS on AP, and Zephyr/RTOS on MCU, DSP, etc) in a wide range of areas such as bringup, bootloader, I/O, USB, PCIe, sensing and imaging systems, audio and display, and power management.
2. Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues that typically span across multiple layers in the system, and between systems (Android, RTOS etc)
3. Bring up new devices and lead debugging that spans multiple hardware and software teams
4. Collaborate in a team environment across multiple engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver base level software for the devices
5. Support factory SW development, device calibration, factory line bring up and failure analysis
**Minimum Qualifications:**

6. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7. 5+ years Software Engineering experience in the following: device driver development, embedded systems, or operating systems.
8. 5+ years experience working on systems software in a large-scale C/C++ code base.
9. 2+ years experience defining and driving technical work streams and providing technical leadership for software engineering teams.
10. Experience with Software Development processes including: source control, bug tracking, and design documentation.
11. Experience in hardware bring up using interfaces like ADC, GPIO, SPI, I2C, etc.
12. Experience in one or more of the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, Android OS, RTOS, Bootloader, Power Management, Linux, Graphics and Display Drivers, MCU (Microcontroller).
13. Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools.

14. Experience developing with SoC BSP/Android system level, or modern Real Time Operating Systems
15. Experience with embedded micro-controllers such as ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 architecture and their boot mechanisms
16. Experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers for debugging embedded systems at HW/BSP level
17. Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools.
18. Prior full life cycle base platform-level software/firmware development experience to bring a high volume product from design to mass production
