What You Will Be Doing

MFC is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop embedded software.

In this role you will join one of the largest networks of software professionals at our Grand Prairie, Texas site, to integrate algorithms into C++ applications, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new missile development platforms.

You will be helping us solve the world’s most difficult challenges supporting such wide-ranging domain areas such as aircraft flight command and control, air traffic control, health care, and homeland defense.

Software professionals at MFC have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies such as machine learning and related artificial intelligence, quantum computing using one of the world’s first quantum computers, business applications.

Basic Qualifications:
Active secret clearance

C/C++ software development (version 11 or higher for C++)

Embedded software development

Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience

Hands-on experience related to hardware testing

Experience with implementation of cyber solutions
Desired Skills:
Git, Gitlab, JIRA

Agile development (Scrum)

Experience developing cyber-hardened bootloaders

Experience working with Ethernet network security mechanisms

Experience with device driver and board support package development

Experience with VxWorks 7.0 and the Wind River tool suite

Experience with FPGA logic circuit development and hardware/software integration

Experience with Microchip Smart Fusion or Polar Fire architectures

Experience with Xilinx Zynq architectures

Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
