Job Description

We are looking for an embedded software engineer with focus on functional safety to join the team in Prague for Digital Platforms and Technologies (DPT) group.

You will report to Research & Development Senior Manager and have hybrid schedule working in Prague, Czech.

Your Responsibilities:Design, implement and test functional safety embedded applicationDebug and troubleshoot issuesLearn about network communication, especially about Common Industrial Protocol and its extension to functional safetyAnalyze network traffic, e.g. using WireShark toolWrite user documentationPrepare artifacts for TUV certificationConnect and work together with colleagues from different teams and locations

The Essentials - You Will Have:Routine knowledge of C or C ++3+ years of experience with embedded developmentBasic knowledge of complexity theory, memory optimization, toolchains1+ year of experience with writing secure code and code qualityEnthusiasm for software developmentKnowledge of English and no problem to communicate with teams from around the world

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Experience with functional safetyExperience with cross-platform development (at least for Windows / Linux), a great advantage is experience with any embedded RTOSKnowledge of CMake, Git, UML, Python 3Familiar with agile developmentKnowledge of network communication (ISO / OSI model, BSD socket API). Knowledge of some network protocols in the cross section of the ISO / OSI model: Ethernet, TCP, UDP, TLS, DTLS, etc.Experience with embedded environment (Raspberry Pi, Beagle Board, etc.)Experience with hardware design.
