EMC Engineering Intern
Overview We are seeking a full-time EMC Engineering Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for performing aspects of manufacturing and distribution operations activities, as applies to production, warehousing, and global product distribution including process design/improvement, process documentation and checklist, cost/benefit analysis of projects, and reporting of results to management. Essential Functions EMC testing processes and documentation to ensure compliance with required certification is met Study, learn and apply EMC test standards to create test plans and perform certification EMC testing and report generation Coordinate product testing reviews and accept/act on constructive criticism Provide support to the Compliance Engineering team through review/updates to procedure documents Support software automation and verification efforts Test digital, analog, Radio Frequency (RF), and/or Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) Follow test procedures to verify product compliance to all applicable regulations and quality guidelines Prepare test data and reports to determine if the proposed design meets functional and performance specifications Learn and use software tools/test equipment to formulate and test electronic designs and complete documentation of testing efforts in the required formats Interface with Design Engineers and factory associates on the testing of products Basic Qualifications Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and respectful interpersonal communication skills Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision Desired Qualifications Previous experience in Engineering or IT Fluent in statistical analysis Speak, read, and/or write in Spanish, German, or French Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
