EMC Program Manager (EMC stands for electromagnetic compatibility)
Your role:
Deliver on the IGT-S (Image Guided Therapy Systems) business and program by effectively ensuring EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) compliancy of installed base and new innovation.
Own and drive all end-to-end EMC activities within the IGT-S (Image Guided Therapy Systems) portfolio, ensuring robust planning, execution, and continuous improvement (should drive year on year efficiency to increase output)
Develop, align, and execute the IGT-S EMC strategy and roadmap.
Provide regular and transparent status updates (weekly, monthly, and at key project milestones) on EMC performance, enabling timely, data-driven decision-making and elevate help requests by the Business Management team.
Lead EMC initiatives from concept through completion, setting clear goals, defining project scope, and managing resources for on-time, on-budget delivery.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, regulatory, quality, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment, compliance, and optimization of EMC design and testing practices.
Establish and maintain comprehensive EMC test plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to international standards and alignment with evolving industry requirements.
Oversee external testing resources and facilities, managing vendor relationships and budgets to support timely, cost-effective EMC validation.
Serve as the authority for EMC, advising teams on best practices, design considerations, and regulatory nuances to drive product excellence.
Prepare and present clear, concise project reports and dashboards to senior leadership and cross-functional partners, articulating risk, mitigation plans, and strategic impact.
Champion patient safety and quality, ensuring all EMC activities adhere to medical device regulations, risk management principles, and continuous quality improvement.
Cultivate a future-focused EMC vision, positioning the role for broader organizational influence and potential executive leadership opportunities as the EMC function continues to grow in strategic importance.
Design EMC long term strategies; assess, benchmark and drive best practices in technical expertise of staff, tools, and facilities for EMC design and test.
You're the right fit if:
You have experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and/or within the medical devices industry.
You are a seasoned Project and Program Manager (for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives), with a min. of 10 years of work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Preferred: experience in working with certification body (eg CSA) and/or China NMPA.
Preferred: Knowledge of global EMC standards (IEC, FCC, etc.) and medical device requirements
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, including risk management (ISO 14971).
Strategic mindset and executive presence, ready to evolve into broader leadership roles.
