About QuidelOrtho - Belgium: The office in Brussels is located close to the airport which gives a nice flexibility to our employees to arrange their business travel. The office is home base for around 40 employees and contains of the EMEA Supply Chain team, Finance and HR. We support several countries and also have a lot of different nationalities in our workforce which brings an international flow throughout the whole office. Specifically for the Benelux region – we also have around 20 field based people who pop into the office which makes the connection between different departments even stronger.
About the role: The Distribution Coordinator will be responsible for finished goods order management: from order entry (affiliates markets) or order receipt by Customer Service (direct & distributors markets) until final delivery to customers (end customer, distributor or QuidelOrtho affiliates). In this role, he/she coordinates all logistic & transport aspects to achieve best in class service to customers in the most cost-effective manner. This will include coordinating activities between various stakeholders such as Customer Service, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Carriers, 4PL (Alis) & customs. The Distribution coordinator will also be responsible to manage non-products related customers complaints and ensure rapid resolution.
What you'll be doing in your new role:
Responsible to manage all the logistic & transport aspects from order entry (affiliates markets) or order receipt by Customer Service (direct & distributors markets) to final delivery of products to customers, which include the synchronization of the order release to the warehouse, the management of specific customer requirements as well as the coordination of the logistic documents, the carriers booking/scheduling and the customs activities.
Respond to order enquiries, advises any potential delays / impact in timely manner and address resolution with relevant key stakeholders.
Act as primary interface between Customer Service and Supply Chain / QuidelOrtho organization as it comes to deliver orders to customers.
Monitor the orders (and especially the aging orders) to ensure allocated orders are transmitted to the warehouse and that validated orders at 3PL are shipped (potential scrap mitigation). Manages customer non-products related complaints and champion resolution.
Execute product return and credit note as well as ensure that all procedures and working instruction are kept up to date.
Other duties:
As required by the Organization, participate into country improvement plan, especially related to transport.
As required by the Organization, participate to specific project.
The individual:
Bachelor to Master degree – specialized in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or Transport up to 3 years of relevant experience in Logistic, Distribution, Transport with good understanding of pan-European logistic organization.
Customer orientated.
Organization: Well organized, good sense of priorities & multi-tasking.
Team work: Able to work in a team, including remote colleagues.
Communication: Excellent verbal & written communication skills (including soft skills).
Languages: Fluent in English & French (another language would be an asset).
Good understanding of export & customs regulations.
Committed & flexible.
Computer literate and working knowledge of software such as Word and Excel, ERP knowledge is a must.
