About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional IT PMO to join our EMEA regional IT team, overseeing the project portfolio and performance across the EMEA region. This key role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of key IT projects aligns with strategic objectives and meets quality, budget, and timeline expectations. In addition, the Regional IT PMO will take direct ownership of critical projects when needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:

Develop and maintain the regional IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and objectives. Monitor project progress, performance, and risks across all IT initiatives in the region. Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into project status and KPIs.

Governance and Methodology:

Define, implement, and enforce IT project management standards, processes, and tools across the region. Lead regular project reviews to assess adherence to quality, budget, timelines and global IT strategy

Project Leadership:

Act as project manager for high-priority or complex initiatives, driving them from initiation to successful delivery. Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and accountability. Address project roadblocks, escalate critical issues, and drive resolution.

Performance Management:

Analyze and improve project delivery performance, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency (consolidation/centralization) Conduct post completion project review to capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with country IT directors and regional business leaders to understand their needs and ensure project alignment. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on project strategy and prioritization. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners to support project execution. Foster exchange and collaboration with corporate IT teams to ensure alignment and leverage global IT expertise.

Team Development:

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project delivery Facilitate and promote exchanges between countries’ IT teams to share best practices and foster collaboration.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT project/program management, ideally within a multinational environment. Candidates with experience in major consulting firms are highly encouraged to apply. Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable. Good understanding of IT systems, processes, and infrastructure. Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Excel, MS Project). Languages: Italian mother tongue, Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a plus.
