EMEA Planner Buyer


Job Description:

The EMEA planner buyer will be responsible to plan, release and manage production work orders and purchase orders to fulfill Europe, North American and International Demand. This position will also be responsible for monitoring and managing assigned value streams and planner codes including inventory management and customer service levels.

Places and manages purchases orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals and related planning data.Determinate level load production run rates for assigned value streams based on PSI (Production, Sales, and Inventory) conditions to meet financial goals.Works closely with manufacturing and supplies to prioritize, expedite and de-expedite work orders and purchase orders based on material availability, department resources, changing requirements and customer service requirements.Manage the assigned value streams including the management of inventory turns improvement (Using IMAG Tool – Inventory Management at Gemba), backorder reduction and coordinating activities with other planner buyers and departments.Participates in the new product development process and supports supply chain planning activities at the new product team level.Manage, monitor, and update Kanban for assigned value streams and production cells.Lead DK’s(Dynamic Kanban) and Kanban implementation thru our new EMS Process (Envista Material Process), including calculation of the bin quantity and size, coordinating supplier requirements and daily management requirements.Analyzes production plans and plant capacity, lead times, safety stocks and lot sizes to determinate resource requirements and constraints.Releases and manages production work orders in accordance with MRP, Kanban signals, production plan goals, Intercompany Production level loading run rates and related planning dataParticipates in cross-functional project teams related to planning, purchasing and process improvement initiatives.Have strong working knowledge and apply the principles of planning/pull system, MRP horizontal plan, AMU and projected balance calculations.Have understanding of lean manufacturing and JIT principles including DBS tools and how to apply them in the appropriate situation.Manage and maintain inventory levels to the company goals at finished good levels.Develop short- and long-term unit and dollar inventory projections at finished good levels.Monitors and understands key planning parameters such as safety stocks, buffer stocks and lot sizes.Support special projects related to material planning, purchasing, system changes and inventory management.Review and fully understand the monthly Rolling Heijunka Plan (Production Plan) for specific product areas.Works closely with vendors to manage and control “Purchase for Resale” Finished Goods product lines, to prioritize, expedite and assure enough material supply to support customer demand.Travels up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field. APICS Certification is highly preferred.Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience required in manufacturing environment including working with ERP systems (i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.)Strong analytical and mathematical skillsStrong knowledge of MRP, CRP, and MPSProficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel (advanced)Strong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishComfortable presenting in front of the teamAbility to build and maintain good rapport and handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness required.Detail-oriented, with the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists required.Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment required.Experience with lean concepts/tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban and Kaizen highly preferred.
