The STERIS Instrument Processing (IP), Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA), is focused on delivery of outsourced Decontamination Services for reusable surgical instruments. Decontamination Services incorporates the cleaning, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments and requires STERIS IP to operate from dedicated facilities that meet all current standards and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Management (PMO) vacancy to sit within this part of the business, support the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) and will be responsible for overseeing members of the PMO team who will work with both large external Strategic Customers (STERIS Solutions) and internal outsourced sterile services projects (STERIS IMS), in support of the Operations and Commercial functions of the business focused on Project Development, Procurement and Project Management.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with sales leadership, field sales, service and the project design management organizations to ensure the local Customer is receiving the required level of support.

The Senior Project Manager will manage the successful STERIS delivery of capital equipment projects handled by the identified Strategic Customer from inception through installation and in-servicing and owns Customer Satisfaction for projects.

Duties - cont'd Lead Refurbishment/New Build Projects – oversee 3 members of the PMO team in relation to the projects and implementing governance relating to project implementation. Project Planning – manage large-scale projects £5-£10 million in value, aligning all stakeholders and the relevant governances to deliver successful projects, manage contractors, PMO team, Project finances, internal and external stakeholders. Financial Accountability – ensure success and profitability for the business by cost control and scope control of major build projects including construction proposals, tendering and final delivery. Up to £10 million in value and multiple projects running in parallel. Team Supervision - day-to-day support/dotted line management leading a group of project managers, project design engineer and on-site contract project managers. Lead and complete build projects from design/tender to implementation and sign off. Contract Reviews – manage JCT, LTA, and leases to support legal review and ensure control measures and project governance are aligned and fully met and implemented. Communication with relevant stakeholders Technical Expertise - manage RFI, tech subs, capacity design reviews, MEP sizing based on processing equipment and facility operational needs. Build Trusted Relationships - provide consistency, stability and peace of mind to large firms that no other vendor can support their needs and their Customer’s needs as well. Education Degree Required Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 2+ years of demonstrated experience as a Project Design Manager. Must show leadership activity with key architectural and equipment planning firms, communication, and strategy for successful project completion. 2+ years of successfully documented experience leading a project team A qualified engineer or person with significant engineering experience. Project management qualifications and extensive experience. Preferred Experience Strong understanding of the operational environment, and in particular the time critical nature of the business Ideally with a background in the Healthcare Industry 10-15 years experience. Highly analytical, numerical, and financially astute, able to support tender processes Demonstrable experience of building and sustaining client relationships. Excellent leadership and influencing skills; able to inspire and motivate people as well as build strong relationships with Customers and colleagues across the wider group. First class interpersonal skills; able to act as an Ambassador for the Company externally. Ability to contribute positively, influence and persuade team members. Intellectually and professionally rigorous, balanced with a hands-on, down to earth approach. High levels of energy and commitment to getting the job done and going the extra mile; Values and outcomes orientated with high levels of integrity.
