Learn about the Danaher Business System (https://www.danaher.com/how-we-work/danaher-business-system) which makes everything possible We are looking for a Trade Operations Specialist to be responsible for mitigating customs and compliance risks of Cytiva import and export processes. You will ensure adaption to regulations changes, actively participate and execute in cross functional projects in line with trade compliance strategy and objectives in European countries. The primary scope of position will be Sweden and Belgium trade operations. This role will be based in Uppsala, Sweden or in Hoegaarden, Belgium and will be an on-site role. What you’ll do + Ensure trade compliance rules and regulations are met and manage trade compliance risks and issues. + Liaise with Customs authorities and timely address requests. + Coordinate import/export process in close cooperation with logistics and interact with suppliers and partners to ensure operational compliance. + Support with the maintenance of trade metrics, internal self-audits, and processes to ensure adherence to customs & import/export requirements. + Monitor Agent Performance, lead process improvements, and perform internal audits of the 3rd party agents' processes. + Work with Business Partners to identify and implement process improvements, support cross-functional business projects, and maintain Trusted Trader programs (ex. AEO). Who you are + Bachelor’s degree in international trade, Logistics, Supply Chain or related discipline + Minimum of 5 years of global experience in international trade compliance + Solid understanding of the principles of Customs Duty and Trade Compliance as applied in Europe (customs valuation, incoterms, license and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization / Free Trade Agreements etc.) + Proficient in ERP and MS Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word) + Proven ability to execute on instructions and prioritize to deliver on targets + Continuous improvement mindset, lean thinking, and understanding of project management + English communication skills both verbal and written are required It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + In depth knowledge of trade compliance issues/opportunities faced by a multinational manufacturing/distribution business with a complex supply chain + Proficient in local language, Swedish or Dutch, depending on location of the candidate To be successful in this role we believe that you have solid communication and analytical skills as well as experience collaborating with people from different countries and cultures. You have a proven ability to build rapport at all levels within the organization. You do enjoy working in continuous improvement environment where lean thinking and optimization is key.
