One of the key functions in Galway is Global Business Services, which provides number of shared services activities across finance, purchasing, quality, technical and customer services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Various global and EMEA commercial and operational management teams across our infectious disease and cardiometabolic businesses are also based in Galway, overseeing the supply of millions of rapid tests from HIV to diabetes to COVID-19, to patients in many regions across the world. **Main Purpose of the Role** : The role is an integral part of the EMENA (Europe, Middle East & North Africa) Customer Supply Chain and will focus on. Please note this is a 1 year fixed term contract position. + Planning of shipments into EMENA + Visibility of shipments into EMENA + Understand the EMENA business and country requirements related to freight forwarding + Communicating requirements to management, customer services and Abbott International Transport teams + Transactional effort needed to compliantly ship and record movements of product and materials **Responsibilities:** + Create and maintain country mapping reference guide - ports of entry, customs requirements, flight schedules, land locked country etc. for easy reference for all cross functions + Alignment with other ARDx entities ie. ADK (Abbott Diagnostics Korea) regards to capability, scope of work + Volume forecasting for key orders and create delivery plan + Create visibility for the commercial team & finance team on shipment status to support on revenue recognition forecast and customer-facing communication + Ensure that all trade compliance is met for EMENA countries + Manage and or support to ensure compliance with embargo countries + Understanding of products and what is required to ship products (validated boxes, data loggers) + Support customer service team with solutions related to distribution + Support commercial excellence team with, lead times and other information related to distribution + Execution and management of allocation/rationing process within CWH **Requirements** + Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Admin or a related field OR equivalent years of relevant experience would also be considered + Previous Supply Chain experience in a similar role with strong understanding of international shipping + Microsoft Excel + Analytically minded + Customs and Trade Compliance Knowledge + Project Management (basic) An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
