This part-time (.50 FTE) temporary unclassified position is anticipated to end August 30, 2027. This temporary unclassified position exists to administer the new EM ERG grant program - Empowering Minnesota's Emerging Farmers: Growing Food System Resilience with Marketing Assistance and Profitability Support (EM ERG}. The EM ERG program is intended to expand farmers market producers' ability to sell at markets and through locally grown initiatives. Supporting diverse farmers to thrive is key to building resilient food systems and fostering agricultural innovation. The EMERG Grant Coordinator will organize and manage the various parts of grant administration, including proposal work, purchasing, contracts, facilitation of stakeholder meetings, plan of work coordination, award monitoring, and grant evaluation. **Minimum Qualifications** _To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._ Two (2) years of experience working with financing, administration of small business assistance programs, financial accounting, data management, contract management, or grant management. NOTE: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or other related fields may substitute for 1 year of experience. Critical thinking and analytical skills adequate to interpret policy and procedures that may be ambiguous or ill-defined, review progress and financial reports, determine eligibility and compliance with requirements, state statutes, and grant management policies. Ability to communicate clearly in writing including letters, program guidelines, and reports and orally sufficient to speak to clients about program guidelines and requirements answer questions, and make presentations. Ability to notice and manage small details to efficiently produce high-quality work. The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment. **Preferred Qualifications** Business or accounting coursework or experience. Experience in grant program administration, monitoring and evaluation. Working knowledge of MN Office of Grants Management policies and guidelines and Federal grant procedures. **Additional Requirements** A job offer will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
