Your role and responsibilities
We're looking for a motivated Emergency and Critical Care (ECC/ICU) Veterinarian who is committed to excellence in patient care and communication with clients and colleagues, for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover.
The position is suitable for an experienced clinician who either possesses or is working towards a certificate-level ECC qualification. We have recently completed a major extension and refurbishment of our Tier-3 Veterinary Hospital with a purpose-built ICU at the heart of the practice.
You will work within our multidisciplinary referral and primary care hospital providing critical care to patients within our ICU. You will also triage and provide emergency treatment of primary care and referral patients and provide an out-of-hours service to a number of local practices.
You will be one of five ECC clinicians working a mixture of day and night shifts. During the day, you will be part of our friendly and dynamic team and interact with clinicians and nurses in each of our services. During night shifts you will work with our close-knit team of night nurses and rotating interns and you will be supported by on-call clinicians from each of our referral disciplines and primary care service.
