Emergency Care Attendant TraineePay Rate: $11 / hr. (while in class)Location: Dallas, TX Direct HireHours: 12-hour schedule with 8-hour swing schedule, subject to change We are looking for motivated individuals who are looking to make a difference. As an ECA Trainee, you will be required to successfully pass the required 60-hour course as well as successful completion of the National Registry examination.  As A Member of This Team:Conduct a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assist other medical personnel as necessaryAdminister prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of licensure or certification and in accordance with approved protocols prior to transportProvide careful handling of the patient to and from the ambulanceProvide safe and efficient transport of the patient in the ambulance to the medical facilityProvide a safe and efficient transfer of patient and patient care information to the receiving personnel at the destinationConduct regular unit inventory and equipment testing to ensure all equipment for which the ECA is responsible is present, clean and in proper working orderUpon completion of transport, responsible for all assigned duties which will place the ambulance and equipment back in serviceResponsible for the full knowledge of the ambulance's basic life support equipment and its proper use at all times You Will Need:High School Diploma or GEDState certification as an Emergency Care Attendant determined by appropriate state requirementsCurrent CPR certification as established by the American Heart AssociationCurrent and valid state-issued driver's license determined by appropriate state requirements Must be knowledgeable of company protocols, operational procedures, and safety policiesMust be able to drive large vehicles in normal and adverse conditions Physical Demands:Physical Abilities: Must be able to perform strenuous physical requirements, including without limitation, lifting and moving of heavy equipment and patients in a variety of environmental and dangerous conditions, perform CPR and other lifesaving maneuversUnimpaired Mobility: Must be able to respond quickly to ambulance calls, must physically be able to access patients located in difficult terrain and dangerous environments and locations, must be able to climb stairs and other structures, must be able to work without limitation in close and dangerous environments, such as damaged vehicles and structures on fire, must be able to carry heavy equipment and patients Why Apply?Great career progression: $15/hour once ECA Certification is received; then $17/hour as an EMT, then $23.50/hour once graduate from 1 or 2 paramedic programsNo prior experience required, just a willingness to want to launch a career in the medical industry Your Career Partner: Veteran-founded and family-owned, The Reserves Network specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
