Job Summary This Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care. Clinical nurses working in any unit of Nursing Services must have the ability to provide care to patients from the neonate through the geriatric years. A Registered Nurse responsible for the provision of process improvement strategies to improve the care of the trauma patient throughout the region. Identifies regional trauma educational needs and works collaborating with the Regional Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director to provide trauma education. Qualifications + Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required. Master of Science in Nursing, preferred. + Experience: Prior experience may be required for specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Critical Care and Trauma, required. + Licensure/Certification: + Current RN Licensure of NC, required. + Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required with 1 year of hire, required. + Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse (ATCN), preferred. + Trauma Certified RN (TCRN), preferred. + Additional Skills (required): Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Demonstrates proficient oral and written communication skills.
