Job Summary The Emergency Department Representative is an essential member of the patient care team, providing indirect patient care and clerical support. The ED Rep will be responsible for maintaining patient charts consistent with organizational policies. They will answer telephones courteously and professionally, listening to the caller to gather enough information to direct the call to meet the customer’s needs appropriately and accurately. They will interview patients, relatives, or their representatives to secure personal, financial, and insurance data through face-to-face or telephone interviews. Job Requirements + High School Diploma or GED + Previous Medical Office experience preferred. + Strong computer skills.
