Emergency Department Staff Nurse- AnMed Piedmont

The freestanding Emergency Department at AnMed Piedmont is a 10-bed unit dedicated to initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The Emergency Department is staffed with a board-certified emergency physician and registered nurses. The Emergency Department sees patients with varying acuities and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries from pediatrics to geriatrics.

 

Summary:

Provides quality patient care consistent with the standards and guidelines established by AnMeds Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse is a clinically competent professional who works with the Emergency Department staff in providing age specific, quality care to all patients. This nurse is able to utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care participating with a multidisciplinary health care team to resolve identified patients problems and or needs. While working in the Emergency Department the Registered nurse works under the guidance and supervision of the Emergency Department charge nurse(s) providing treatment as ordered by the physician(s) / provider(s) helping to promote quality and safe care of the patients within the department.

 

Qualifications: 

AnMed will accept applications from Graduate Nurses that meet SC LLR criteria.

Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina. 2 years of experience required  Emergency and Critical Care experience preferred BSN preferred, ADN candidates must be enrolled in BSN program within 18 months of hire date. BSN required within 4 years from date of hire. Successful completion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within one (1) year from date of hire. TNCC or BTLS certifications within one (1) year from date of hire Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organization.

**AnMed Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and continue to work as an acute care Staff Nurse since that date, were “grandfathered” and the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years does not apply**
