**Position Overview:**
Assists nursing personnel and physicians in providing emergency care services. Observes, identifies and reports client's needs to nurses.
**Job Description** :
**EDUCATION**
HS Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Graduate of accredited Emergency Medical Technician program.
**CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE**
EMT-Emergency Medical Technician
**OR** LP-Licensed Paramedic
CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician I
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, preferred
**EXPERIENCE**
One year related experience in an acute emergency department.
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
Knowledge and ability to apply sterile technique
Knowledge of emergency care techniques and procedures to provide quality care to clients
Ability to assist with casting and splinting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrates ability to set priorities
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, physicians and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range is $35.08 to $43.09 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
