The Emergency Department Technician performs non-clinical activities and other unit tasks as delegated by the Staff RN to support the interdisciplinary care team. This is a variable shift position. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience required **LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS** Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Emergency Medical Technician - EMT OR Licensed Paramedic - LP **EXPERIENCE** Acute care hospital experience as an Emergency Room Technician or similar experience preferred **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** In depth knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and physicians and assist them in a resource capacity Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
