Our Homeland Security Sector seeks qualified candidates to support program analysis, assessment, and evaluation; training design and development; development of guidance and tools; communications; and provide programmatic support to our homeland security clients, partners, and stakeholders.

 

This candidate must be located in the DC metro area for on-site meetings at FEMA weekly.

Responsibilities Support analytical tasks as part of an integrated client delivery teamConduct research and analysis, under the direction of a project or task manager, and work in collaboration with other team members to develop portions of products such as assessments, reports, presentations, and training material for government clients on homeland security programs and policy-related topicsDistill complex information from multiple sources into analytical assessments, reports, memoranda, and presentations tailored for senior public and private sector clientsApply quantitative and qualitative analytic approaches and principlesDevelop concise, clear, and easily consumable reports based on current and proposed policySupport coordination with stakeholders to collect, analyze, and report on policy-and doctrine-related dataConduct comprehensive analysis of materials and stakeholder feedback to author and adjust policy and doctrine documentsAssist in the design and execution of approaches and data collection to evaluate performance of disaster management programs through research, interviews, and focus groups to identify and communicate best practices and lessons learned in disaster assistance programsDevelop original graphics in Microsoft PowerPoint to synthesize concepts and explain complex issuesProvide strong attention to detail and apply writing skills to create reports, assessments, and other written deliverablesConduct self-edit and quality-check all original work Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in political science, public policy, social sciences, journalism, homeland security, emergency management, public health or other relevant field and a minimum of two years of professional experience, with relevant professional experience supporting policy-related projects; preference given to those with experience in homeland security, emergency management, and public health (Master’s Degree can be substituted for two years of experience)Strong interest in emergency management and recovery mission areasU.S. Citizen with ability to earn a favorable Public Trust clearance and/or DHS SuitabilityAbility to work well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentStrong research, analysis, and communication (written and oral) skills and attention to detailProficiency in relevant software programs, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelCandidate must be available to attend weekly on-site client meetings in the DC metro area

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

 

The minimum starting salary for this position is $60,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
