The **Emergency Management - Operations Planner** will be a member of our firm-s Response Cadre. These are short-term contract positions where candidates selected will be deployed to help respond to ongoing emergencies/disasters. If selected, you will need to travel to the client site, which may be an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or field site and will be responsible for assisting with emergency response operations planning, coordinating incident objectives, and fulfilling Emergency Support Functions (ESFs). Note that candidates selected must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours- notice, and will need to remain onsite, typically for a minimum of 30 days.
**Responsibilities for the Emergency Management - Operations Planner Include:**
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency operations plans (EOPs) in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Coordinate with both internal and external clients and community partners, ensuring effective planning and coordination for emergency response efforts.
+ Facilitate meetings to assess ongoing emergency response efforts and provide recommendations to leadership to address any concerns.
+ Contribute to the development of Incident Action Plans (IAPs) and work directly with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to ensure monitor response efforts.
+ Monitor and analyze information from various sources to maintain situational awareness and provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Additional responsibilities as dictated by client needs during ongoing emergency response efforts.
**Qualifications for the Emergency Management - Operations Planner Include:**
+ Willing and able to be on-call for travel within 24 to 72 hours of notice.
+ At least three (3) years of professional experience in emergency management.
+ Bachelor-s degree or higher.
+ Ability to work long shifts, up to 12 hours as needed, based on the client-s operational tempo.
+ Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or as part of an Incident Management Team (IMT).
+ Understanding of National Incident Management System (NIMS) and/or Incident Command System (ICS) processes.
+ Prior experience working as a Planning Section Lead preferred.
**Compensation for the Emergency Management - Operations Planner Includes:**
+ Salary range of $70,000 - $150,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.

This role requires frequent travel, including air travel to disaster sites where transportation options are extremely limited or nonexistent. Upon arrival, the ability to operate a vehicle is an essential function of this role for navigating these sites and performing job duties. A valid driver-s license is required, and Hagerty Consulting will arrange and cover the cost of flights and rental vehicles.
