Job Overview This position manages the performance of all emergency management requirements and services as the head oversight for employees operating under the EM Services. Provides direction and guidance to EM employees, and aligns efforts with flight leadership priorities ensuring compliance with guidance. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Operates as the lead assessor for self-assessments. Ensures self-assessment checklists are completed by EM Section Lead and serves as assessment oversight prior to submission for validation to Installation Emergency Manager. Resolves Self-Assessment deficiencies within 90 calendar days of validation. Reviews open SAC deficiencies and updates CAP status in system of record. Develops, updates, and reviews planning documents, checklists and annexes IAW established guidance. Completes Integrated Risk Management Process (IRMP) for EM Planning and Mission Assurance. Develops the MAFB IEMP 10-2 using the IEMP 10-2 Planning Tool and the defined review and distribution process. Develops the 6 CES CRP 10-211 in accordance with the defined review and distribution process. Develops Exercise Draft Hurricane Recovery Team (HRT) Guide. Conducts in-person EM Program Reviews for Tier I Unit. Provides EM Program Review Report and follows up with discrepancies. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: Shall be a graduate of the Readiness Apprentice course JCABP3E931 00AA, USAF Readiness Flight Officer (RFO) Course J3OZP32E1D 010, or approved equivalent by the authority having jurisdiction over this program. Shall be certified by the Air Force Emergency Manager Technical Training granting the 3E9 skill set identifier with at least 10 years’ experience as an emergency manager. Experience as a CE Readiness Flight Chief or equivalent, graduate of the Air Force Incident Management Course, proficiency in operating and analyzing products generated by the emergency management information systems, and a bachelor or higher degree in the areas of Emergency and Disaster Management, Public Administration, or Homeland Security are highly desired. Secret Security clearance.  Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card. Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
