Job Description:

Job DescriptionSchedule: Rotating 4 on (96 hours) 8 days off.  Includes weekends and holidays

This position is open to EMTs and AEMTs

Pay is dependent upon experience and may not be in the range posted below. Entry rate is $18.29-$20.56 and hour DOE

The MedX AirOne Ground EMT/AEMT must be able and willing to:

Respond to medical emergencies and deliver patient care, support, and evaluation in a pre-hospital setting, such as on scene and during transport to the hospitalRespond to non-emergent patients needing safe transport between hospitals, care facilities, and their homesComply with all state EMS rules and regulationsFollow all MedX AirOne protocols, policies, and medical directionBe able to quickly and accurately assess the patient, determine the proper emergency care, and administer treatment within the Ground EMT scope of practiceWrite accurate and detailed patient care reportsMaintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPPA regulationsEnsure ambulance and equipment are clean and prepared for patient transports, including maintaining par levels of inventoryFollow proper infection control proceduresSafely operate ground ambulances following state and local laws and regulations and in accordance with MedX AirOne’s guidelines and policies.Work varied shifts and be available to cover call shiftsAttend employee meetingsFulfill required assigned educationMaintain required credentialsDrive personal or company vehicles whenever and wherever business needs necessitateRepresent MedX AirOne in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalentCurrent state EMT-Basic or Advanced as appropriate to assigned positionCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationEmergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) completionMinimum of 2 years experience as a licensed driver or operatorDriver’s license with an insurable driving recordAbility to communicate and work with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups, often in highly stressful situations using oral and written meansAbility to lift 75 pounds.Pass a background and drug test at all times
