As the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will provide all aspects of basic life support (BLS) treatment and transport of patients in the pre-hospital emergency setting. Evaluate the nature and extent of acute illness or injury and establishes priorities for BLS and ALS treatment. Carry out procedures based upon Statewide Treatment Protocols, Standard Operating Guidelines and Medical Control direction when applicable. Manage the emergency patient's environment in a manner that assures optimal on-scene care as well as expedient transportation to the most appropriate medical facility. This includes efficient utilization of EMS resources such as local first responders, ALS and special resources/equipment. Performs all skills applicable to the Scope of Practice for Massachusetts certified EMT's.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician Certificate (current) Basic Cardiac Life Support-Healthcare Provider Level Driver's License (in good standing)Ideal candidates will have:
