Job Title Emergency Medical Technician - Occupational Health Coord Requisition JR000014740 Emergency Medical Technician - Occupational Health Coord (Open) Location St. Louis, MO Additional Locations Job Description Summary Responsible for advanced medical support of all aspects of plant wide potent compound production as well as assisting with patient care functions in the Medical Department. Job Description Provide medical support at the ACLS level for those areas involved in potent compound production including laboratory areas. Assist with daily activities in the Medical Department such as medical monitoring and care for work-related injuries and non-work related illness/injuries. Shift work is required and some overtime may also be required. Webster Potent Compound Coverage. Cover for 12 hour shifts as needed. Normal hours 7am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday. Occasional weekends required. Emergency Medical/Vacation Coverage in plant to keep clinic open. Daily maintenance of emergency equipment in all potent compound areas. Assist in teaching First Responder classes. Work with minimal supervision. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other responsibilities as needed or indicated to include Emergency Response Team, Confined Space Rescue, Incident Command Responsibilities/Medical officer, and Decontamination. Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education required/ preferred: Completion of Paramedic course and certification as a Paramedic in in the State of Missouri Experience: Minimum of six years of experience in Emergency Care and recent experience in advanced emergency situations. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: + Current license as a Paramedic level EMT in the State of Missouri + Current ACLS certification Skills/Competencies: + Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) + Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment + Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment Other Skills: + Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in emergency medicine ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE: Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments and associate levels. Flexibility to accept new duties as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS: Will spend some time in an office environment with significant time spent in Manufacturing areas. Manufacturing areas are not climate controlled. During summer months, building exhaust fans provide ventilation. Chemicals handled include acids and bases, organic solvents, and inorganic compounds. Chemicals may have characteristic odors or hazardous properties that require special handling.
