Emergency Response Specialist

Once a request for an emergency response team has been received you will quickly coordinate with our response vendor network across the nation to identify and dispatch the best positioned team to respond while maintaining continued communications with the client and vendor both. This includes the collection of all necessary information related to the response, creating the vendor response authorizations and response job sheets, creating the “case” in the database, and continuing with the overall event management throughout the entire response evolution. Working from your home office as a member of the Emergency Response Operations Group you will be part of a team of Specialists in constant contact, supporting the overall daily mission. This role requires an excellent attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to multi-task while receiving messaging through multiple avenues in a fast-paced environment. **Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):** + Work to complete response documentation and delegated taskings. + Receive and action incoming calls and emails. + Address client and vendor concerns, problem solving and finding solutions. + Maintain communications with clients and response vendors in a professional manner. + Support team members with case completions and department initiatives. + Create Order lines in Preview. + Input new responses/cases in Salesforce. + Create new job folders in the drive and populate as necessary. + Complete vendor response audits in a timely manner. + Complete Action Reports in a timely manner. + Partner with Vendors to resolve invoice, manifests and job sheet discrepancies. + Complete timely entry of all job documentation into the system. + Support customers (including, but not limited to, ESOL Operations personnel, ER contacts, vendors, accounting, et cetera) with questions and problems. + Work with various levels of management on small and larger projects. + Identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes within the department. + Coordinate various activities to ensure deadlines are met. + Train and support team members for rotations and backup for all job functions. + Assist/support billing department requests. + Provide input in the development of group SOP’s. + OQ check response documentation prior to approvals. + Cover equally distributed on-call/after hour shifts with the team. + Maintain compliance with corporate training assignments. **WORKING CONDITIONS:** Work from home office, On Call 24/7 rotating shifts due to emergency or workload demands, subject to extended work hours **Basic Required Qualifications:** + At least 2 or more years working in one of the following environments: emergency response, environmental compliance, chemical management, waste management, direct customer service, legal services, recordkeeping, or dispatching environment. + Associate degree or higher in business administration or equivalent relatable work experience. + Must have a dedicated workspace at home that provides a business level atmosphere. + Must have dedicated, uninterrupted high speed internet capability available. + Ability to respond to all types of emergencies by remotely supporting or on scene 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. + Mastery of the English language, both verbal and written. + Possess Professional phone etiquette. + Strong knowledge of computer software applications, spreadsheets, PDF and Word programs. + Well-developed ability to self-start and achieve deadlines without continued guidance. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Hazwoper training. + Incident Command (ICS) experience. + Ability to remain organized in a high-volume work environment. + Ability to analyze and resolve problems both with a team and on your own. + Proficiency with Salesforce, Preview, Core, RSS, SharePoint and Excel. + Ability to type 40 wpm+ Demonstrated ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized and diplomatic manner; ability to listen to others and respond effectively to ideas and question. + Capable of managing exceptions in the field or remotely and resolving atypical challenges. + Capable of effectively working with a team for a single purpose, as an asset to the group. + Strong networking and proven relationship building skills. + Excellent customer/client relationship development skills. + Comfortable and composed under stress and high pressure, fast paced conditions.
