Operations Development Program Representative, Emerging Talent\n
The Emerging Talent Programs at Heritage Environmental Services are designed to train and develop high potential candidates and provide opportunities to accelerate your career growth and gain direct, hands-on experience. Working alongside managers and leaders, exposure to high level projects, and individualized mentorship provides a unique experience for all participates.\n
The Operations Development Program is a two-year program that explores one of our 25+ locations identified by the business to support operations-based roles in management, engineering, supervision, laboratory, and customer-facing project opportunities.\n
Geographic mobility anywhere in the United States is required and facility selection may vary based on business needs. Relocation assistance is available for this role.\n
Essential Functions & Requirements - Talent Programs:\n
\u00b7 Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times\n
\u00b7 Develops an understanding of how the company works and builds relationships with Emerging Talent Program representatives through regularly scheduled meetings, annual training workshops, and mentor programs\n
\u00b7 Networks with professionals from various disciplines across the organization to enhance teamwork, collaboration, communication, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills\n
\u00b7 Maintains awareness of all Company policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance\n
\u00b7 Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization\n
\n
Essential Functions & Requirements - Operations:\n
\u00b7 Assists with analysis and support of a business unit's performance, which may include tracking key performance indicators for safety, environmental compliance, quality and production, as well as provide assistance on team projects to drive improvement\n
\u00b7 Partners with employees of all levels within the organization to develop new standard operating procedures\n
\u00b7 Maintains responsibility for the maintenance and development of HSE programs within a business unit and works with employees to identify opportunities for improvement in safety and environmental compliance; assists in permitting activities to incorporate new processes into a business unit\n
\u00b7 For those engineering degreed, supports facility capital and maintenance projects, including project scope development and design, permitting, writing of capital requests for review and approval, equipment procurement, supervision of contractor or maintenance installations, start-up and budget reporting\n
\u00b7 Visits customer industrial sites to identify, quantify, properly pack and prepare paperwork for shipping and transport of industrial waste back to service location\n
\u00b7 Performs lab testing of industrial wastes received at a treatment facility to ensure the wastes are properly categorized and are consistent with set specifications regarding permits and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations; testing includes standard wet chemistry methods, as well as in-house developed methods\n
\u00b7 Performs work directly at the customer site to maintain contracts, which may include operating an onsite waste treatment or recycling operation, tracking and properly handling industrial waste inventory prior to shipment offsite, and helping the customer maintain environmental compliance regarding waste generated from their industrial processes\n
\u00b7 Supervises employees who work within waste and recycling facilities and those who provide our customers with services such as onsite operations, environmental assistance, and industrial cleaning operations\n
\u00b7 Maintains the ability to travel up to 25%\n
\n
Education:\n
\u00b7 Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, mechanical, industrial), science (chemistry, geology, biology, environmental), safety or business management (required)\n
\u00b7 Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)\n
\u00b7 High-performing recent graduate or expectation to graduate by start date -OR- qualifying education must have been obtained within the past 2 years of the start date\n
\n
Experience:\n
\u00b7 Prior relevant internship, co-op, or practical experience (required)\n
\u00b7 Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative - such as school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on work projects (required)\n
\n
