The Emerging Tech Senior Project Engineer  will be testing the software of the charging system control unit and other HV Auxiliary modules. This will include testing the charging system, functions at the component level, cyber security and functional safety testing. Testing in environment ranging from manual to fully automated and setups ranging from bench setups to HIL and vehicle testing. Working with cross-functional team provides a great environment and learning opportunity.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Emerging Tech Senior Project Engineer on our TRATON USA’s R&D Team.

Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end testing process for software releases of the charging and distribution system, including defining test scope, writing test cases, and executing tests.Perform functional, cybersecurity, and functional-safety testing in environments ranging from manual to fully automated, including bench setups, HIL, and vehicle testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze issues, debug software, and suggest improvements to enhance product quality.Provide release recommendations based on test results, ensuring that software meets quality expectations within defined timelines.Mentor and support team members in issue analysis, debugging, and test strategy development. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyAt least 8 years of experience in product design/developmentAt least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyAt least 6 years of experience in product design/developmentAt least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities

OR

PhD in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyAt least 3 years of experience in product design/developmentAt least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in functional software testing, including writing test scenarios, test cases, and test reports.Knowledge of Vehicle Architecture and Electric Vehicle Charging protocols such as ISO 15118, SAE J1772 and IEC 61851 is a plus.Hands-on experience with
