**Description** The Missions, Concepts and Capabilities (MCC) division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a knowledgeable **Emerging Technologies Technical Expert** in quantum computing, engineering and/or science to support program oversight of and advocacy for leading-edge Science & Technology for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). In this position the employee will recommend adjustments to the DoD’s science and technology strategies for emerging technology areas through research and direct interface with the Department of Energy (DOE), OSD Staff, Joint Staff, defense agencies, services, other government agencies, industry, and academia. The employee will provide subject matter expertise in quantum engineering, offering insights into emerging technologies and their potential applications within DoD platforms.
