Employee Benefits Sales Assistant
Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate class load while meeting job requirements.Attend weekly in-person check-in and coaching sessions with the Fort Worth Area President, Sales Resource Managers (SRMs), and rotating producer mentors at the Fort Worth office.Proactively schedule additional time with SRMs, Producers, etc., as needed for support and guidance.Record and submit hours worked.

Pay structure:

The Sales Assistant will receive a base hourly rate of $15.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Additionally, the Sales Assistant will have the potential to receive a commissions bonus of $50.00 for each appointment set:

$50.00 per confirmed appointmentAppointments must be with pre-defined decision makers of target-sized companies/industriesThe appointment must actually happen to qualify for commissionMonitoring of appointments and reporting of commission amounts will be handled by  the Fort Worth sales team in collaboration with the Sales AssistantThe commission bonus will be paid monthly, one month in arrears

Employment Terms:

This is a part-time, temporary position, not eligible for benefits     The company's standard work week for a Sales Assistant is up to a maximum of 24 hours per week, Monday – FridayDuration: Until end of temporary assignment with potential to extend until graduation; opportunity to be considered for potential future full-time employment based on strong performance and results

Qualifications:

Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to, Risk Management & Insurance, Business Management, SalesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize effectivelySelf-directed and a willingness to work independently at timesDesire and willingness to learn about the insurance industryA positive attitude that embraces teamwork and learning.

Department Office Administration & Clerical

Required Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience

Required Travel: No Travel Required

Required Education: High school or equivalent
