HealthFitness is seeking a dynamic and strategic Employee Engagement & Event Manager to join our team in Kohler, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic program planning, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of multiple programs. You will deliver recreation-related employee and family programs, clubs, services, and events. You will develop, lead, and manage projects from conception to execution, ensuring they align with the strategic goals. This includes marketing and implementation planning of all recreation department-sponsored events, clubs, and activities, as well as the coordination of location and resources needed.
This position offers a **$2000 one-time bonus** after 6 months of employment, along with a **hybrid work schedule** (M/F work from home and T/W/TH in the office), no weekends or holidays.
Responsible for the strategic program planning development, implementation, ongoing evaluation of multiple programs and delivery of recreation related employee and family programs, clubs, services and events. Developing, leading and managing projects from conception to execution, ensuring they align with the strategic goals. Includes marketing and implementation planning of all recreation department sponsored events, clubs and activities; as well as the coordination of location and resources needed.
**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Leads and manages recreational activities, clubs, projects and events from conception to execution using project management principles. Ensures alignment with strategic goals and client culture.
+ Responsible for the strategic program planning development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of multiple programs aimed at pro-active, participant-driven, and participant-centered experiences. Development and implementation of yearly strategic business plan, in collaboration with management and the client, for Recreation Department which includes leagues, clubs, special events, family events, etc.
+ Manages all recreation and event related program activities in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety, and service standards. Scheduling of league play, clubs and special events. Coordination of resources including securing facility rentals, supply management, personnel support etc. Coordination with community organizations regarding client hosted activities and events in the community (e.g., 5K Runs, Corn Hole).
+ Monitors participant engagement and tracks program usage data for league play, clubs and special events. Utilizes member management systems as a tool to assess program effectiveness, generate reports, and makes recommendations for future program enhancements or modifications to optimize future programming. Collect and evaluate appropriate program data to support the strategy.
+ Responsible for the development of communication plan and corresponding marketing materials to maximize program engagement.
+ Maintains accurate recreation records and ensures confidentiality of data collected during activities is in accordance with HealthFitness requirements, including applicable file transfer, processes, collaborating with related suppliers and/or storage.
+ Serves as the primary liaison with client management and relevant departments, maintaining ongoing communication to assess needs, collaborate with vendors, and identify programming solutions.
+ Builds strong relationships across a diverse employee culture (including corporate, hospitality and manufacturing workforce). Fosters trust, excitement and participation by delivering inclusive programs that inspire ongoing engagement.
+ Efficiently and effectively collaborates with HeathFitness teams, various departments, and subject matter experts to gather insights and resources for industry best practices. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a solution focused approach, utilizing HealthFitness tools and systems to support the client’s strategic direction for recreation and special event programming.
+ Other duties as needed/assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Wellness, Recreation, Sports Management, Event Management, Project Management or related discipline required or the equivalent combination of certifications, education, and experience.
+ 3+ years’ experience working in the field of event management, health promotion or recreation management.
+ Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
+ Ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities, applying critical thinking and strategic planning.
+ Demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic, taking ownership of tasks while remaining open to direction and constructive feedback.
+ Adapt quickly to evolving needs and challenges, using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
+ Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for strong relationship-building and team engagement.
+ Maintain a customer-first approach, ensuring the needs of stakeholders and participants are prioritized.
+ Apply intuition and business acumen to navigate team dynamics and project development efficiently.
+ Current OSHA compliant CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 45 days of hire.
Compensation: $62,000/Year - $72,000/Year. $2,000 one-time bonus. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
